Randy & Denise Braden July 4, 1999
My husband Randy & I were married on July 4th, 1999 at
Hatches Corner in Ohio. It was an outside wedding by 7 waterfalls.
Every wedding has a special group who help the bride through the rough spots, I'll call these people -
"angelettes". Starting with Denise Henry and her daughter Sara who designed & made all the invitations, and had to keep making them as the guest list grew &
grew. Carolyn Sandell, my maid of honor, who made my dress and her dress. My sister-in-law Pam Braden for all the little things she did at the wedding - bubbles, favor's
& organizing all the food at the reception. My sister Darlene Rosthauser for designing the bouquet' and all the flowers right down to the daisy's in my hair.
Our wedding has a very special angel, who came out of nowhere very unexpectedly. Our co-worker Ruth Weaver, a pint size woman took the news of our wedding with
great joy. NO wedding planner can compare to this little dynamo.
She kept telling us what we needed to get, what we had
to do, we tried to tell her no, nothing big and fancy, small & simple was what we wanted. Well she wouldn't
take no for an answer, she went and did it herself. I can't even list everything she did and
everything she bought, it was like she was planning the dream wedding for her own daughter.
From the knives to cut the cake, the guest registrar the quill pen, decorations, signs, food she
took everything in stride. She even went to the location of our wedding and worried that grass
would be to high and the weeds needed to be pulled. The morning of the wedding she showed up to take pictures. She worried where people would stand. Ruth even told my father and I
when to start walking down the "mossy isle". She took pictures all day and her husband Clint
videotaped the wedding and reception. She then had copies of the wedding video made for our families.
Even though we thanked everyone who helped us with our special day, we never got to tell Ruth that she was right. All her big plans and ideas helped make our day that much more
special. No regrets only happy memories. Thank you Ruth, our wedding angel. |
